A demo of my drum kit

So I know it’s been a while in coming, but I’ve finally been able to get some audio of how my drum kit sounds. Followers of my blog may remember that at the end of last year, I’d made a post explaining why I decided to get a custom built drum kit. Well, the kit’s been here for a few months now, and I’ve pretty much been playing it daily, or as close to daily as I can with Texas’ strange weather being what it is. 🙂

Below you’ll find an audio sample of the kit itself. I recorded this yesterday on my iPhone SE 2022, using an app called recorder hq pro and my ambeo smart headset. This is nothing special, but it should give you an idea of how the kit currently sounds. It’s probably worth noting here that I do not intend on keeping these stock heads on the kit. If all goes well, I plan to get new heads for the kit in August or September. But anyway, I’ll stop rambling. Do feel free to comment or mention me on my feed and let me know what you all think.

  1. Oh yeah. I was doing that with a drumstick pressed against the head with one hand while Iplayed with the other. it’s a fun technique to use.
