Kentucky Fireworks for July Fourth, 2022

Earlier this summer, I had the chance to take a trip to Kentucky to visit one of my best friends and a few other folks for a band meetup. Yes, you heard that right…I am in a band. The name is Midair Decision and we can be found on facebook, twitter, youtube…pretty much most of the usual social networks. Our handle is @midairdecision everywhere.

But anyway…back to the trip. While I was in Kentucky, I was able to go see an amazing fireworks display with the band. Here, I bring you some audio I took of that experience. The recording was made with an iPhone app called Backpack Studio and the Sennheiser Ambeo smart headset (no longer being manufactured.) I hope you’ll enjoy this. There’s quite a bit of talking and things in here, as well as walking around, so if you want to jump to the fireworks, fast forward to about 01:13:57 in the file. The fireworks actually started a bit before that, but the time stamp above is about when I lowered the mic level so that things wouldn’t clip.

If you want to hear more things i’ve recorded, do let me know. Feel free to comment, send me a message, or otherwise get in touch. Also feel free to follow me on mastodon if you wish. Both of my handles are in my visiting card.

  2. Oh yeah. I loved getting to go out there. I want head out there again soon if I can. Unfortunately, one of the guys in the recording is no longer in the band because of some stuff that went down that I won’t get in to.

  3. nice recording brother. i got to go out to kentucky last year for an APH thingy, and i would do it again. louisville is a really nice city that as a blind person i could walk around in with no problem alone or just following someone.
